John Konicki

Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Travers Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where I study American political behavior and public opinion.

My research investigates the sources of mass polarization in the United States, with a particular focus on the contributions of demographic and attitudinal sorting to rising partisan animus, the degree of long-term stability and change in party identification, and the role of ideological grievances in shaping political identities. In addition, I work as a data analyst at the Berkeley IGS Poll.
